Not in sales? You still sell every day.

Move
turn a maybe into a yes

No matter what your occupation is, you are a salesperson. You’re selling every day, whether or not you know it: getting the kids out the door, winning someone over, or pitching an idea. To Sell Is Human replaces the old idea of selling as slick and pushy with one that is human, built on understanding, clarity, and trust. Over four weeks, you’ll learn the art of pitching ideas that stick, bouncing back from rejection, and, ultimately, winning people over.

What’s possible when people say yes?

Created by Nir Eyal, NYT-bestselling author of Hooked, Indistractable, and Beyond Belief, with Jasmine Eyal. Over one million copies sold in 30+ languages.

The gap

Books change how we think.
Conversations change what we do.

Some books you start and don’t finish.
Some you finish but barely remember.
Some are constantly pushed aside by other commitments.

And when you do read alone, late and tired, it’s easy for even the best ideas to stay on the page.

Essentials for the Busy Mind creates the conditions to transform ideas into action: one important book, a clear monthly rhythm, and a community that helps you directly implement the concepts into your life.

Each month, you join a curated cohort for guided conversation, small-group discussion, and practical ways to apply what you’re reading.

You’ll compare ideas, hear fresh perspectives, and leave with a clearer understanding of what the book means for your own work, relationships, and life.

What it is

A monthly practice for turning knowing into doing.

01

One book a month

A single essential title, chosen for ideas that hold up and change how you live. With your cohort, you’ll absorb, discuss, and directly apply the concepts.

02

A live room each week

Guided discussion with Nir and Jasmine. You stay accountable because of the community, and you leave every week with something to apply.

03

Small breakout groups

You’re placed in a small group circle with curious readers just like you. You’ll compare ideas, hear fresh perspectives, and leave with a clearer understanding of what the book means for your own life.

04

The authors themselves

When we’re able to bring them in, you’ll join a live conversation with the authors, hear the ideas in their own words, and ask questions the book left you wondering. This September, that’s Daniel Pink, live.

Who you'll read with

Nir & Jasmine.

Co-authors, and more importantly, father and daughter.

Nir Eyal is the bestselling author of Hooked, Indistractable, and Beyond Belief, with over a million copies in print in more than thirty languages. He's spent two decades turning behavioral science into tools people can actually use, and he taught the subject at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jasmine Eyal is a student researcher and author focused on making complex ideas more accessible. She is the co-author of The Indistractable Workbook: Protect Your Time, Transform Your Life, a practical guide to helping readers recognize distractions and regain control of their attention.

Each month they read alongside you, bringing the research, the stories, and the tactics to make sure you can immediately put the ideas into practice.

The monthly rhythm

What a month looks like.

  • 1We begin by selecting the one change you want this month’s book to help you implement in your life.
  • 2We translate the ideas into a practical tool you can use in your own work, relationships, habits, or daily life.
  • 3After testing that tool during the week, we use the next session to look at what worked, what got in the way, and what needs to change.
  • 4By the end of the month, you leave with a system tailored to your life and a clear path for turning the book’s ideas into lasting change. When the author can join us, you’ll get to ask questions and gain insights directly.

Before you ask

Questions?

What if I can't make a session live? +
Life happens. Join live whenever you can, and if you miss one, every session is recorded and shared, including at least one breakout group, so you can always catch up.
Do I have to buy the books? +
Yes, members bring their own copy, but you’re welcome to read in whatever format works best for you: print, ebook, or audiobook. We’re here to help you think through the ideas, discuss them with others, and put them into practice.
How much reading is expected? +
About fifteen minutes a day or one book a month. Over a year, that adds up to nearly 100 hours with books worth your attention, without making reading feel like another obligation.
Who is this for? +
Maybe you start books but don’t finish them. Maybe your reading time keeps getting crowded out by everything else. Or maybe you finish plenty of books, but rarely take the time to directly use what you read. Essentials for the Busy Mind is for readers who want an engaged community, thoughtful conversation, and practical tactics to help them implement what they’re learning.
Will it feel too big? +
We intentionally limit seats so the group stays thoughtful and engaged. You’ll also be placed in a small breakout circle for a more personal conversation, combining the energy of a larger room with the closeness of a smaller one.
What are the Terms of Service? +

Terms of Service

By enrolling in this program (“the Program”), you agree to these terms.

  1. What you’re buying. The Program is a paid membership: a guided reading and discussion group with recurring live online sessions, plus related materials. Sessions may be recorded. The Program is a subscription, not a one-time purchase.
  2. Billing and renewal. The Program is billed in advance according to the plan you select. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period using your payment method on file, at the then-current rate, until you cancel. By enrolling, you authorize these recurring charges.
  3. No refunds. All payments are final and non-refundable, including partial billing periods, missed sessions, and unused time. We do not provide refunds, credits, or pro-rated returns for any reason except where a refund is required by applicable law. You acknowledge that access and materials are delivered immediately upon enrollment, that you are requesting immediate access, and that to the extent permitted by law you waive any statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation once access has begun.
  4. Cancellation. You may cancel at any time by managing your subscription through Stripe, using the link in your payment receipt, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund charges already made. Your access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which it ends.
  5. Access and delivery. We will provide reasonable access to live sessions and materials for the duration of your paid membership. Live sessions depend on third-party tools and on your own equipment and internet connection. Occasional schedule changes, session reschedules, or substitutions may occur. We are not responsible for access failures caused by your hardware, software, or connection.
  6. Conduct. This is a small group built on good-faith participation. We may suspend or remove any member for harassment, abusive behavior, sharing other members’ private information, or disruptive conduct, without refund. Recordings, materials, and member discussions are for your personal use only and may not be reproduced, resold, or shared outside the group.
  7. Intellectual property. All Program content, including session recordings, written materials, and discussion guides, is owned by us or our licensors and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You receive no ownership rights and no license to redistribute.
  8. Recordings and privacy. Sessions may be recorded for the benefit of members. By participating with your camera or microphone on, you consent to being recorded. We handle your personal information in line with our privacy practices and applicable law.
  9. Communications and consent. By enrolling, you agree to receive transactional emails necessary to run the Program, including session links, schedule updates, receipts, and billing notices. These are part of the service and are not marketing. Separately, you may choose to opt in to marketing emails about future programs and writing. Marketing emails require your explicit consent at sign-up, are never bundled with these terms, and you can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time without affecting your membership.
  10. No professional advice. The Program is educational. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. You are responsible for your own decisions.
  11. Disclaimers and liability. The Program is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Program is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  12. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. Material changes will take effect for billing periods beginning after we post the update. Your continued participation after a change means you accept the revised terms.
  13. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
