A note from Nir & Jasmine

Sixty seven seconds on why we built this.

The gap

You already know the books that would change you.

They’re on the shelf. In the app. Half-read, or never opened.

Finding good ideas was never the hard part. You’ve saved more than you could finish in a decade.

Reading alone, late and tired, squeezed between everything else, rarely turns into doing. You close the book and life picks up where it left off.

Change takes more than a good book. It takes a room, a weekly deadline, and people who notice when you don’t show up.

What it is

A monthly practice for turning knowing into doing.

01

One book a month

A single essential title, chosen for ideas that hold up and change how you live. Not a reading list. A reading life.

02

A live room each week

Guided discussion with Nir and Jasmine. You read because the room is waiting, and you leave each week with something to apply.

03

Small breakout groups

You're placed in a small group circle with curious readers just like you. That's where the real conversation happens, and where you're known by name.

04

The authors themselves

When we can bring them, you'll sit with the people who wrote the book and ask what the page never answered.

Who you'll read with

Nir & Jasmine.

Co-authors, and more importantly, father and daughter.

Nir Eyal is the bestselling author of Hooked, Indistractable, and Beyond Belief, with over a million copies in print in more than thirty languages. He's spent two decades turning behavioral science into tools people can actually use, and he taught the subject at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jasmine Eyal is a student researcher and author focused on making complex ideas more accessible. She co-authored The Indistractable Workbook with Nir and Julie Li-Eyal, and she reads with the standard she writes by: an idea isn’t worth much until you’ve tried it.

Each month they read alongside you, bringing the research, the stories, and the honest debate that turns a good book into a different life.

The monthly rhythm

What a month looks like.

  • Week 1The book opens. We set the frame: what this idea claims, and what we'll test against our own lives.
  • Week 2Live discussion, then breakouts. You bring a problem from your own week and we work the idea against it.
  • Week 3We go deeper, separate what the research truly shows from what it's commonly said to show.
  • Week 4We close the loop: what changed, what we keep, and when possible, time with the author.

Before you ask

Questions?

What if I can't make a session live? +
Life happens. The room is the point, so come live when you can, but members get the recordings of each main discussion. The breakout groups are live only, because intimacy doesn't record well.
Do I have to buy the books? +
Yes, you bring your own copy of each month's book. The membership is the room, the guidance, and the people, not the publishing.
How much reading is expected? +
About thirty minutes a day, one book across the month. It's a pace you can actually keep, with a room that keeps you to it. Most members read more here than they have in years.
Who is this for? +
People with full lives and good intentions who are tired of the gap between the two. If your unread list is longer than your read one, you're who we built this for.
Will it feel too big? +
No. However many people join, you're placed in a small breakout circle for the real conversation. You get the energy of a larger room and the closeness of a small one.
